I wouldn't recommend this pension to anyone especially during long holidays and for foreigners. The building overall including the room is very old and the picture isn't accurate at all. I think the staffs there are not sincere and generous when thinking of Japanese services and standard . For us next time we would prefer to pay more to go to a better place and enjoy our vacation.

We are very apologize about this. When during the New Year holiday, this was a high peak travel season in Japan because this was a long holiday.
It was a very busy week for our pension, we apologize again about giving you these inconvenience and unexpected memories to you.
