The people who served us speak really good english, and it made communication quite easy. The place has direct bus to Ginkakuji and afew other places, however its will be better to take subway (Gojo station) if you are staying here as buses here are quite limited. Love the sub-urban and traditional feel in the nearby area, there is a common place where they serve free water and i think it helps to know ppeople too :) However, the room cleaning is more of a concern. I find the rooms getting dirtier and dirtier each day even though there is supposed to be room cleaning service. Bedsheets seemed not changed, and I really wondered if room service only meant folding the blankets and placing them i order. Other then that, this is place is pretty nice.
