The owner was very friendly and carried good oral English. He prepared maps and events summary during my stay which really amazed me! Room was not big but clean. Curtain and light were built in each bed providing good privacy for individual activity. My bed nearby door was most far from air-con and window so ventilation was just fair. Wifi was not working well during my stay perhaps related to dense population. Owner promised to check and improvement was guaranteed. The whole hostel was a brilliant reconstruction from tradition Japanese house with appealing decorations added. Sets of 'One piece' and 'Slam-dunk'(in Japanese) together with books and magazines were on shelf for everyone to read...GREAT!

Since our building is more than 100 years old wooden building, the sound is very easy to echo all around. We are very sorry about that and thank you very much for your kind understanding and corporation.
In spring, Cherry blossoms in Maruyama Park blooming, in summer, fireflies in Philosophers’ s road could be watched. Red leaves are beautiful in autumn, and the garden of Ginkaku-ji Temple shines much more in winter.
Please come again by all means in the four seasons. We are looking foreword to meeting you again.
