I had the pleasure of staying at Kana Machiya in Kyoto. Hosts were perfect, gracious and welcoming. There guest house was a wonderful combination of tradition and modern. Clean and spacious with all modern convenience, yet still exuding traditional Kyoto charm. The location is fantastic as it is close to Saiin train station which gives you access to downtown Kyoto in three easy stops. Local shopping is excellent and close The house is in a residential area which is friendly and quiet. This is truly a lovely guesthouse to stay whilst exploring the sights and sounds of Kyoto. I highly reccomend Kana Machiya to visitors wanting a genuine Kyoto experience.
