This onsen ryokan is splendid with outstanding service. Check in was smooth. We were immediately greeted and the gentleman Ben san explained to us every details we would need to know in the ryokan. The room was fantanstic! Very nihon in style. Spacious with breathtaking views of Gero mountains. We had delicious japanese meal for dinner and breakfast in the room. We had great fun when walking around in Gero and the onsen was so refreshing which soothed the foot pain.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Ben san gave us good suggestions for sightseeing and train schedule arrangement. They picked us up to Gassho no Sato after checked out.

We only stayed 1 night, and very much wish we had stayed longer. We hope to come back again one day.
