I stayed in the 御堂筋ホテル with my wife for 3 nights in November 2018.
The room is clean and spacious, especially for a hotel located in the central area of Namba.
The hotel is a bit expensive, considerably worthy for its excellent location. Thousands of restaurant and shopping places around the hotel. It is 3 minute walking distance to the Nankai Namba Station - stay here for the last night of your trip before heading back to airport via the Nankai Airport Express train.
The onsen and public bathing centre...are so-so. It is small in size, anyway, it is very clean and tidy. It also comes with a dry sonna room, which is an unexpected bonus.
