We are travelers from Hong Kong. The most impressive features to us are the spacious room, the large private onsen, and delicious food. The special room we reserved is over 70sq.m with access to its own private garden and onsen facilities. The reception staff could speak good English and gave very comprehensive introduction to our room. She also assisted us well whenever we needed Japanese interpretation in order to communicate with other staff. The best part about this Ryokan is the food. Unlike other Onsen Ryokan which serves traditional Japanese set meal, the restaurant here provided fine and creative course dinner which gave us a 2-hour enjoyment. The Chef received professional training at L'OSIER (a 3 Michelin Stars restaurant at Ginza, Tokyo), and the food perfectly reflected his skills learned there. We have no hesitation to recommend this outstanding Ryokan to all overseas tourists who want to have an enjoyable time in Hakone!
