Location is just right beside train station, very convenient for early traveling by Akita Nairou-sen (smile rail). All rooms are twin and price is a little bit higher than other cities at Touhoku area, but it's acceptable since all hotels in Kakunodate are that range of price.
About dining, there is one restaurant owned by this hotel and next to the lobby, so could enjoy local dishes without walk out (if raining or snowing days). I also recommend their breakfast, which with scramble egg, Tamagoyaki and even raw egg from local chicken. Rice with raw egg here is really delicious! Overall it's a good experience to have 2 night stay this time. Will be my first choice for next visit of Kakunodate.
