I stayed in this hotel with my family, we booked 2 rooms for totally 5 persons. The location is about 6 minutes walk (longer time with luggages) from the Iwapppara ski ground station, the room is about 200 sq. feet with private toilet and bathroom which is better than many other hotels In Yuzawa area. The hotel used to run a musical restaurant but it was closed during our staying so we have to dine in Echigo-Yuzawa and then take the train for 1 stop to the hotel. The hotel owner is a very kind old man, the hotel sells discount tickets of the ski resorts nearby, and the hotel owner can help to arrange ski equipment rental (very attractive price) with pick-up service. The owner's family runs a very famous soba restaurant in front of Echigo-Yuzawa station and he was happy to help us to make reservation. Overall, I and my family enjoyed staying in this hotel. Highly recommend to those who drive, or travelers who don't mind to travel a bit further by local train.
A very good please to stay for ski tour especially for those who drive, the hotel owner is very helpful, it would be perfect if the restaurant was opened.
