We, a group of Hong Kong university students, were here for one night over winter holiday for skiing purpose.
Certainly commendable was the location. The hostel was directly opposite to the skiing resort and it was not too far away from the JR station (about 7 minutes walk). The owner, a middle-aged man, was very friendly towards us and displayed smile and courtesy throughout.
Room was tidy though not very spacious.
In particular, we bought discounted skiing pass and discounted skiing gear rental (which was directly opposite the hostel as well). The hostel offered free rental of snow boots, which helped.
